In fact, the name of my blog was inspired by Mrs. Olson's Folgers commercials. Love her accent! Your Aunt Vernie was a delight. My mom always said cockamamie and other quirky words. Wonder what exactly is a cockamamie? lol! Oh how I loved this...Howdy there, my wordy friend!
Oh how I loved this post. While I don't remember that commercial (I wish I did, because as I played it...it felt familiar!) I do remember others. I remember the importance they played in our lives... simpler times for sure.
And, while I do not have an Aunt Vernie... I had a Granny Jo. Oh my, I could write a book about the influences that she had on me... and I blame her solely for my own appreciation for any trinket that could perhaps be useful later; and must stay in the box for just the right moment. I blame her for my creative bent... yes, for seeing something not for what it is, but for what it will become. I blame her for life at it's simplest...making believe, tasting good, and being fun!

PatPatricia @ 9th and Denverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04786692442689958889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10633837.post-73281223563184044602012-07-14T13:30:05.710-04:002012-07-14T13:30:05.710-04:00sweet and lovely post, liz:)sweet and lovely post, liz:)farmhouse-storyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00032726701043723077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10633837.post-48544169497846603962012-07-14T13:13:35.051-04:002012-07-14T13:13:35.051-04:00I like the streaks!I like the streaks!Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15436362975783896883noreply@blogger.com
